WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE

LANGUAGE, WORDS, CLICHÉ’S AND CATCH PHRASES.SWEARS, EXPLETIVES, CURSES AND BLESSINGS ANGER AND RANTING.

A LOT COMES OUT OF OUR MOUTHS BUT IS SPEECH NEUTRAL? ARE THERE REALLY JUST SLIPS OF THE TONGUE?  DOES GOD LET IT PASS BECAUSE WE REALLY DIDN’T MEAN IT THAT WAY OR THAT’S THE WAY WE WERE RAISED OR EVEN IT’S “GENETIC OR OUR HERTIAGE” TO SPEAK THAT WAY?

WHY PRUDS ARE SO UPTIGHT ABOUT A FEW LITTLE FUNNY SWEARS? WHAT ABOUT HALF SWEARS OR SUBSTITUTE (words polite people used instead of the foul curse words)? For those who might be new to this subject, it is necessary to give warning about “substitute” swearwords such as “durn,” “dag nabbit,” “frick, frig” “shoot,” “shucks,” “heck,” “darn,” and others. Such words are called euphemisms, literally “good speech.” It does not take much thought to figure out what words these exclamations are substitutes for. We do not need them! The English language contains thousands of benign yet descriptive words and expressions that convey the same feeling or reaction.

AND WHAT ABOUT TAKING GOD NAME IN VAIN? BECAUSE GOD IS HOLY AND HIS NAME IS HOLY THEN OUR REFERENCE TO HIM SHOULD BE HOLY. SPEAKING HIS NAMES IN ANYWAY THAT DOES NOT REFER DIRECTLY TO HIM OR ABOUT HIM IS IN VAIN. AGAIN BE WARY OF EUPHENISMS e.g. (gosh, golly, omg, jeez, jeez o’pete, as well as G.D etc).

WHAT’S SO BAD ABOUT AN OFF COLOR JOKE OR BIGOTED TERMS OF OTHER RACES OR NATIONALITIES? DOES IT REALLY MATTER OR IS SOMEONE JUST TRYING TO IMPOSE THEIR LEGALISTIC AGENDA ON US?

1 Timothy 4:16
Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

SO,IS YOUR SPEECH MEEK,GENTLE AND HUMBLE LIKE OUR SAVIOUR OR IS IT FOUL,VIOLENT OR PROUD?
